The Top Reasons Why You Are Not Seeing the Success You Want
Have you ever wondered why no matter what some people do they always achieve success while others seem to struggle more.
There are certain things that successful people do that others do not.
If you have been trying to reach a certain goal or level of success and can’t seem to figure out why you are not able to obtain the level of success you want, here are a few reasons that you can cause you struggle.
You Quit Too Soon. Reaching a big goal can take a lot of effort. It can be frustrating that things are not happening as fast as you would like it to be happening. Instead of giving up and quitting on your goals take time to reassess the actions you have been taking that have not been working, don’t just quit on your goal. What you are doing isn’t working and that could be why you aren’t reaching your goals. Change your plan of action, don’t quit.
If you learn about any famous inventor or successful entrepreneur you will learn that they failed many, many times before they became a success but they never quit. Thomas Edison's teachers said he was "too stupid to learn anything." He was fired from his first two jobs for being "non-productive." As an inventor, Edison made 1,000 unsuccessful attempts at inventing the light bulb.
You Quit Instead of Resting. I get it, you’re tired. You aren’t where you want to be yet. You’re frustrated and you just want to give up! But don’t! Quitting isn’t going to get you to reach your goal. And remember, success usually comes to those who have grit and perseverance. If you feel like you are ready to throw in the towel and quit on your goals, maybe you need to take a break but not quit. Step away from what you have been working so hard towards, take a little downtime and participate in some self-care practices. The rest and recovery can lead to a whole new perspective on your goals and how to reach them.
You’re Doing it Alone. If you are trying to reach a goal and aren’t having success it may be time to seek professional help. Every great athlete has a coach, someone who looks at your performance and will critique and give feedback on where you can improve. A coach is able to see things that you may be missing.
Like any great athlete, we too need coaches to help us reach our goals. Investing in a coach can be one of the smartest things we can do to help us reach our goal and in less time than we would on our own.
Not Asking for Help. When you are struggling, ask for help. You don’t get any rewards for trying to do everything by yourself, you just get run down and a feeling of defeat. If you are trying to reach a certain goal ask for your friends and family to step in and do things to support you. Do you need someone in your household to cook dinner for you so that you can work on your business then ask them. Do you know someone who has reached the goal you are looking to reach? Ask them for help or maybe some advice. You don’t have to do it all alone and on your own. Ask for help.
You are operating from a scarcity mindset instead of abundance. When you operate from a mindset of lack you will always be wanting and needing more. For example, if you think there are so many people selling what you’re selling and why would anyone buy from you, then you are operating in a scarcity mindset. There is plenty of success to go around to everyone!
When you are lacking in life then it only brings up feelings of fear and scarcity. If you shift your mindset into an abundance mindset than you don’t have to feel fear that you won’t have something or you can’t have it.
You’re not focused. As an entrepreneur, we always have a million ideas in our head and we can become victim to shiny object syndrome. Where we think the next idea is the next big one. We never really give one product or one goal the undivided attention we need to really make it work. We jump from project to project like we do diet to diet and then we wonder why we can’t reach our goals. We never give it enough focus to really make it work.
You don’t have a vision. So you have a goal, you know what you want to achieve but do you have the vision? Can you really see yourself achieving this goal? When you have a vision of what you want you to see all the possibility in this. Visions are more of a long-term process and take a little longer to achieve. Its a picture of where you want to go. You need to be both a goal setter and a visionary to move your business forward.
You’re not clear. When you are not clear on your goal or visions then you won’t have a clear path on how to get to where you want to go. When you are not clear with what you want then others won’t know either. How can you expect to sell something when you are not super clear about what you are selling. Only when you are super clear with your desires and your messaging can you attract what you truly want.
You’re afraid to fail. Failing is the key to success! I know that sounds contradictory, but failing means that you are at least trying to accomplish your goals. When you fail you learn that maybe that way of doing something didn’t work so that you can try a different course of action.
If you look at the history of any successful entrepreneur you will learn that they all failed numerous times before they ever succeeded. So don’t let the fear of failure hold you back from the success you are seeking.
You don’t believe it’s possible. Maybe you haven't’ been able to reach your goal because you don’t think it’s really possible? Now is the time to be completely honest with yourself. Do you really believe in yourself? Do you really think you can be successful?
I believe in you!
